Now, I believe that does it for everything except the executive session discussion. And we need to have a short discussion with the county attorney's office about number 15, consider and take appropriate action on claim received from capitol hockey ventures, ltd. That's the consultation with attorney exception to the open meetings act. 17. Discuss and take appropriate action regarding the lease between Texas rural legal aid, inc. And Travis County for office space located at 2201 post road. That will be the real property and consultation with attorney exceptions to the open meetings act. 18. Receive briefing from county attorney and take appropriate action regarding the request for zoning change on the property adjacent to 4011 mckinney falls parkway (precinct four office building.) That's the consultation with attorney exception to the open meetings act. 19. Discuss acquisition of 319.709 acres of land owned by charles ribelin, martha. Ribelin, thomas francis, lucia francis and ribelin ranch partnership, ltd. In connection with the balcones canyonlands conservation plan, and take appropriate action. That will be the real and he is exception to the open meetings act. Real alleges exception. 20. Receive briefing from the county attorney in Travis County v. Sarah a. That's the consultation with attorney exception to the open meetings act. And item no. 24, the last one, will be receive briefing from the county attorney in Travis County v. Thomas g. Washington (brenda smith resale deed), and take appropriate action. That's the consultation with attorney exception to the open meetings act. We will discuss these items in executive session. But will return to open court prior to taking any action.
>>
>> we have just returned from executive session where we discussed the following items: number 15 involving Travis County and the capital hockey ventures limited. Any motion on that?
>> yeah, judge, I move that we reject or deny the claim made by capital hockey ventures, limited, ltd. Ltd, for the amount of $12,000 that he wants to be reimbursed to them for the purchase of chairs. I believe it was a total of 900 chairs, if my recollection serves me correctly. But anyway, deny that particular claim.
>> motion is to deny the claim. Second by Commissioner Gomez. Any more discussion? All in favor? That passes unanimously. Number 17 involving a request from Texas rural legal aid in Travis County. And they ask that we reduce the amount of the rent. I move that we indicate to them that we do not believe that this is an appropriate time toñi reduce the amountçbjt lease payment chiefly because we have budgeted the amount in place right now for the entire year, but I think we ought to indicate our willingness to provide a provision that provides for determination by them with a little advanced notice. What they had recommended was 60 days, I believe, right? That's satisfactory, as well as maybe renewing the current contract through the end of the fiscal year, September 30th, '04. That will give us an opportunity to review their request and at the same time get a better idea of the comprehensive services provided Travis County residents to which we have made reference from time to time.
>> second.
>> any more discussion? All in favor? That passes by unanimous vote. Let's call number 18 up last. I understand the staff is trying to get some additional information for us. Number 20, I move that we authorize the county judge to sign on behalf of the Commissioners court the Texas resale deed to barry skiles, who has paid Travis County $4,174.02 in cash.
>> second.
>> any more discussion? All in favor? That passes unanimously. Number 21, I move that we authorize the county judge to execute the prepared tax retail deed to rick ricardo ordonex the retail deed. All in favor? That passes unanimously. On number 22, move that we authorize the county judge to sign the prepared tax resale deed to jennifer parker, who has paid to Travis County $4,300 for this property.
>> second.
>> all in favor? That passes by unanimous vote also. 23 involves a proposed jimmy joseph resale deed. Move that we reject this deed and ask the Round Rock independent school district to work with us on doing a bit more due diligence to see if we can get a better price for this tract of land.
>> second.
>> any more discussion? All in favor? That passes by unanimous vote. That was to reject, mike.
>> yeah, to reject. Number 24, I move that we authorize the county judge to execute a tax resale deed in this matter to brenda smith, who has paid to Travis County $3,333 in cash.
>> second.
>> all in favor? That passes by unanimous vote. And are we ready on item number 18? Okay.
>> 19, judge?
>> oh, yeah. Number, no action required today except to authorize staff to proceed in the direction that they seem to be heading, and to have this matter back on the court's agenda next Tuesday, which is December 16th.
>> the one question on 18 is whether the city of Austin zoning commission has a certain item on the agenda this item or whether that item will be postponed. And if the item will be postponed, we can take action at a later date or complete our action. And if it is today, we understood to -- need to go ahead and get something done.
>> move in that direction then.
>> then let's call up item 18, which is the request for zoning change on property across the street or adjacent, as lawyers say, to 4011 mckinney falls parkway, and that is the new precinct 4 office building that we are now occupying. Move that we direct staff to file an appropriate notice to the developer and the city of Austin zoning commission by 6:00 o'clock today if this item is still on the agenda. And if the item is postponed, that we give ourselves a little bit more time to prepare the two notices, but the intention is for a notice to go to the developer and the other notice to go to the zoning commission, and each to be given a copy of a letter to the other.
>> second.
>> and basically notice is supposed to indicate to them how we are now using the precinct 4 office building, specifically that the community supervision and corrections department has thousands of probationers going there daily. They have various backgrounds, misdemeanors, felony cases, some sex offenders, some mental health clients, etcetera, and so it is necessary that they be put on notice of how we're using that property is what this is about. Seconded by Commissioner Gomez. Any more discussion? All in favor? That passes by unanimous vote. There being no further business before the court today --
>> move adjourn.
>> all in favor? That passes unanimously.
