Executive Session Items

That brings us to executive session, doesn't it? I recall that items 38 and 39 were postponed until December 26th. That leaves two items. 37. Consider and take appropriate action regarding submission, including attachments, to the u.s. Department of justice for changes affecting voting related to redistricting plan 1374c, as required under u.s. District court order. That will be the consultation with attorney exception to the open meetings act. 40. Receive advice from county attorney on claim received from capital hockey ventures, ltd., And take appropriate action. That will be the consultation with attorney exception to the open meetings act, also, we will discuss these two items in executive session, but will return to open court before taking any action.
>>
>> This morning we did discuss item no. 25, the odor study. After the meeting, when we recessed for lunch, rather, the representatives from waste management said basically they stand behind the letter that they gave us on November 25th. And what it says was this morning they really had nothing to add to this. But they do stand behind it. And so -- so we can reread it at our leash and determine exactly -- at our leisure and determine exactly what waste management's position is. I think what they said basically is that they found phase 2 to be unnecessary and they wanted to move on to phase 3. In the four-page letter that they gave us, to which we made reference last week, November 25th, we did discuss this last week. Mow, we -- now, we did discuss two items in executive session. We discussed item no. 37 and I move that we approve the three orders for our signature that the county attorney's office has -- has completed for us. Which will be submissions to the united states department of justice for changes affecting voting related to redistricting plan 1374 c. It's the submission including attachments.
>> second.
>> and this is required by u.s. District court order, right, tamara?
>> uh-huh.
>> correct. [indiscernible]
>> I'm confused because -- it has nothing to do with me signing this. We wind up signing something, now all of a sudden there's a brand new one, are we supposed to sign this one?
>> no, I think they are still working on the one that we need to.
>> that's what I thought. These things are not what was supposed to -- we are supposed to be signing.
>> correct.
>> but those are not the packets that need the correction page.
>> right.
>> got it.
>> that motion was seconded by Commissioner Gomez. Any more discussion? All in favor? That passes by unanimous vote. We discussed number 40, also, involving the claim received from capital hockey ventures, limited and since we have been advised that a representative from the hockey team wants to discuss this with us, I suggest that we postpone this item until next Tuesday. To give them an opportunity to come down. And let's indicate to them that we plan to take action next week unless there is objection to that.
>> that's fine.
>> no, no objections.
>> okay. That does it for today.
>> move adjourn.
>> second.
>> all in favor? That passes by unanimous vote.
