I indicated that I would call this item up next, and after that number 7. Number 8 is discuss and take appropriate action on the following issues regarding the 2201 post road building. A, requests from various entities and county departments to utilize space. And b, authorization for planning and budget department to make an intra department transfer of $10,000 in facilities to make improvements.
>> hello, judge. [ inaudible ]. Last week this was an issue for discussion in terms of the utilization of the safe. As you heard last week, there were several individuals that were interested in taking this place. I think there's been a slight change since last week. Walter will go through that. We also have members of the health and human services department here to talk about their particular needs. And walter?
>> okay. Thank you. I just want to go a little bit briefly over the background and our recommendation. As you know, the precinct 4 office moved to a new precinct office building in early November. This move brought about more square feet feet available on the first floor. Our recommendation is to move the health and human services family service division from the second floor to the vacated constable and justice of the peace space on the first floor. In addition, it's recommended to move to -- to provide the vacated second floor space to a mhmr division that works with the juvenile probation department and with the gardner-betts juvenile justice center. The family support division moving to the first floor will provide the following benefit. The health and human services division on the first floor is co-located with the deaf services and provide a space -- (indiscernible). Which will serve the conditions in the present space. The tenant on the second floor is the circle c worker and -- social worker and family service who works with the juvenile probation department in approving the relocation of the family preservation unit to the first floor. The second floor will be used by the juvenile probation department. Space at gardener bet would become available for other needs for the juvenile probation department. They are requesting about $10,000 to cover its work, which includes telephone, cables, carpet cleaning and replacement and signage to the project. And I believe that the funding recommended to come from the lease budget. Our recommendation is for the human services division because they need that space. When we move to the first floor we'll have enough space to work. So I would like to answer any questions.
>> any questions for roger? I certainly have to agree with the recommendation.
>> we also have barbara from the juvenile court to discuss the mhmr.
>> I assume that the juvenile court is in agreement with the recommendation?
>> yes.
>> good discussion. That takes up all the space basically?
>> that's correct.
>> motion?
>> move approval of staff recommendation.
>> second.
>> any discussion? All in favor of the motion? That passes by unanimous vote.
>> thank you.
>> judge, that would include the part b of that related to the movement of the money within the facilities.
>> move approval of b.
>> second that.
>> all in favor? That passes unanimously also.
