Citizens communication is next. Commissioner Sonleitner has signed in.
>> I have a really check that I picked up on behalf of the Commissioners court and the city of Austin at the recognition dinner and reception last week for family elderly. And what you see here is that they have been able to quantify the volunteer help from all the folks that work for family elderly, especially related to the pro bone know attorneys who work through our public court. And this number is ever increasing in the value they can attach. It's $893,934. And this was presented to the Commissioners court last week at recognition, and we wanted to make sure you all knew about that and that they are more than giving back in terms of the investment that they are making on behalf of Travis County to our citizens.
>> thank you.
>> thanks.
>> mr. Mcknight?
>> good morning, judge and Commissioners. Dusty mcknight with the Travis County tax office. I wanted to tell the Commissioners and the citizens of Travis County this morning that tomorrow, Wednesday the 19th, we will be opening up our first tax office satellite station at the new precinct 4 at 4011 mckinney falls parkway. At this satellite location you'll be able to perform many of the duties that you're able to do coming down to our new location at 6501 airport boulevard. You will be able to do title transfers for motor vehicles, motor vehicle renewals. You can come in and get registered to vote. You'll be able to make collections for the court fines and fees, and obviously here this time of year you'll be able to make your property tax payments. At this new location we're on the southeast corner of the new building, precinct 4 building that's out there. And we also have a drive-through at this location, so for any transaction other than a vehicle title transfer, you'll be able to stay in your car and drive up and be able to get your business taken care of. And this is part of the outreach that we started with Commissioners court a year and a half, two years ago to be able to get the tax office and the neighborhoods with the people so that they're not having to come downtown or to our new building. Also wanted to let everyone know that we are at 5501 boulevard now. It's the old builder's square building. And we're up and running. Everything is working extremely well out there. We're happy with what we are -- the location. We're fixing to get some new neighbors in a couple of weeks. We're very excited about that. I'll let anyone that's listening now that we've been working on getting the property tax notices out. I think the last of them are being dropped at the -- in the maim box today -- mailbox today. I think about 30,000 are going out. If you have not received a property tax bill by this time next week, please call the tax office at 854-9473, and we'll be sure to get you a bill mailed. At the new location we have lots of free parking. People can come down and come in to visit us. We also have four drive-through lanes, which you can do most of your business with the exception of a vehicle transfer. We have what we think is the -- probably the only location in at least the state of Texas, if not the united states in which you're able to get your license plates out to the car in the drive-through. If you remember our old location if you happened to go into the lane that was close to the building you could get license plates, but if you're lanes 2 or 3, staff had to run outside. At the new location, the facility is designed as such that we could get with knewmatic tubes we could get your license plates to the car. We're not running outside. It's a wonderful location. We want to thank facilities and Commissioners court and everybody that had a part in this. It helped us get located out there and it's wonderful and we want you to visit and see the new site.
>> thank you. Thanks to nelda for hanging in there.
>> dusty, when you said it's the first substation. That prompts me to ask, gee, it sound like there's a second and a third and a fourth substation coming on?
>> I hope to be coming back in about two weeks and I think it's going to be two weeks, maybe three weeks we'll be coming back. We're going into the new rural center that's in Pflugerville. That will be about December the fifth, somewhere thereabouts we hope to be there. And it's my assumption that close to t end of the year we will be going into the precinct 1 location. And then this summer we will have the precinct 3 location that's out near the new oak hill fire department. So I hope to be coming back several times telling you that we've opened these. I want everyone to know this that we are not getting extra staff at this point in time, that we're just -- we're moving people out, we've not increased anything. When facilities when designing these buildings, they made places for us so it didn't cost a whole lot extra to add because of the tax office and now we'll be at the various locations and make it easier for the taxpayers to come pay us their money. Thank y'all very much.
>> thank you.
>> anybody else for citizens communication to address the court on any matter not on the agenda?
