>> good morning, I'm leila karl, executive director of any baby can. I'm here to talk about follow-up to the Commissioners court last week. We have had an audit and -- of one of our programs and found to be squeak key clean and -- squeaky clean, and invite you, I know Commissioner Daugherty and Sonleitner are coming to investigate our agency in the near future. I would like to invite the rest of you to come and see how your dollars are being invest understand the community. We haven't talked about it yet, but I would like to recommend or say we approve of the recommendations and hope that you will approve them as well. Thank you.
>> thank you very much.
>> leila, I'm glad you all did the audit. Did you give that to the appropriate person so it wind up in the auditor's office.
>> yes.
>> okay. Great.
>> ms. King.
>> good morning, my name is brenda king, I'm here to talk about unemployment wage that's why I receive, even after qualifying for the wages. I requested my unemployment and I received these statements saying that these two -- these two employees are aware that I was supposed to receive the unemployment from and I never did receive, so I called to find out why. At that time I was advised that the wages were lost and they had to investigated to find them. So I had to fill this form out, considered a [indiscernible] form for them to investigate and find the wages. I never received no notice stating that they found them or whatever happened. I just received this -- this information from the [indiscernible] with t.w.c., Then she stated that I didn't qualify for them after stating that I did. Then she stated that -- that I qualified for wages from another employer. And this employer that she said I qualified for wages for was an employer that I voluntarily quit. And she said that I was supposed to get those wages. And even after that, I still didn't receive those wages. So I didn't get anything. And I tried take it to court because I was paying this law firm to try to offer assistance to me. And I couldn't get an attorney. They wouldn't reimburse me my money. So I tried take it to court and a judge stated that I need to come back with a legal counsel so I couldn't represent myself as pro se. And I tried locate an attorney and all these attorneys have -- they can't help me do anything. I mean, I have letters from all of these attorneys and no attorney will help me. I mean, it's just ridiculous, I know no one is above the law and I worked with the u.s. Department of labor, I have spoken with the governor's office, and I mean the legislators, nothing. And then I mean these are the individual that oversees the moneys that's supposed to be set aside for individuals in their time of need. In my case I didn't receive any money, even after them stating that I was.
>> when did you last work for Travis County, ms. King?

>> thank you.
>> thank you.
>> ms. King, on the way out of the judge's office, my office is right next door to his, share that same information with my staff. Thank you.
