Item 40

On item number 40, we did get this morning -- it is to discuss and take appropriate action regarding -- a is election day polling places. [overlapping speakers].
>> we have a few last minute changes, and just real briefly let me tell you what they are. Precinct 200, saint elizabeth's catholic church, has asked us to -- they've got a special convenient, so we're going to go someplace else. We're going to go to parker middle school. The 303 is going to be at oak hill primitive baptist church. That's their previous location. Next time we hope to use our new location, which will be seton hospital, but for this election it was better to stay with the previous location. We have 412 and 454, combined now at jocelyn elementary school. 412 had been tony burger center, but because we had had to combine some precincts in 1, 2 and 3, i'll ooim also required to combine in precinct 4 as well, so that was the one that was easiest one. That was their previous location. I think that's it. And I hope this will be final before election day. I hope nobody else backs out.
>> my lists don't have saint elizabeth's as one of the polling places. It is not?
>> it will be parker middle school.
>> [inaudible - no mic].
>> okay. So it is on the list. Let's be clear. Precinct 200 is saint elizabeth catholic church. I thought it was confusing too.
>> move approval of 40-a.
>> second.
>> any more discussion? All in favor? That passes by unanimous voted. Forty-b is the order filling vacancies for election precinct judges and alternate judges.
>> to extent that I know a person's political affiliation, we have asked republicans and democrats to fill in alternate judge and election judge spaces in lieu of a recommendation frp the respective parties. So these are the ones that owe the polling places we didn't get a recommendation vote, but we have found people who are willing to serve for the most part. They are experienced judges.
>> move approval.
>> second.
>> on 40-b, any comments. We've got a motion to approve the list. All in favor? That passes by unanimous vote. C is order of appointment of precinct election judges and alternate judge for consolidated precincts.
>> tamara has prepared the order that's the cover page to the list of election judges and their names.
>> move approval.
>> second.
>> that's the --
>> [inaudible - no mic]. Because they fall under different statutes.
>> but I have that -- that has been delivered to me?
>> yes, sir, after those pages.
>> okay. There it is. Any more discussion on 40-c? All in favor? That passes by unanimous vote. 40-d is other matters relating to the conduct of the September 13, 2003 election.
>> I have no additional items for the court for today.
>> okay.
>> and I don't even think we're going to need to roll this over because by the time we get back together, the election will be over with?
>> what time did does early voting get over with today?
>> it depends on on where you are. Seven oak at most locations, 9:00 o'clock at the mall locations.
>> today?
>> yeah. Thank you.
>> tonight?
>> yeah.
