Item 32
32 is to consider request from endeavor real estate group llc., For financial incentives on "the domain" development project, and take appropriate action.
>> yeah, unfortunately, if the policy is coming back, we cannot take final action on this today. But there are issues take we feed to lay out. There are issue that's we need to lay out? Should we lay those out today or continue to work on it to try to resolve them between now and next week? Is that seems to me we need to [indiscernible] before taking an action on a specific policy.
>> it just occurred to me as we were talking, I just happened to be here when the discussions were happening about the policy, this may be preassumptionous of me, I don't know if there are other issues other than mr. Davis brought up about the unincorporated areas. But it seems to me that if the court is amenable to the other provisions of the policy, that this investment in the domain is not really relative to that provision that Commissioner Davis brought up. And so -- so I understand where you are coming from. But I think we would -- we would obviously prefer that action be taken today, if that's not possible, we would understand. But it seems like this is -- because of the valuation and job creation that we are talking about as relates to the domain, doesn't seem that it's germane to -- to Commissioner Davis' issue. So we would love to proceed if that's okay with you.
>> judge.
>> yes.
>> but there are some requests in the last draft that we got from the domain that -- that reflect things that are different from what's in the current policy draft. So I think we would need to go back, look at the policy, complete that and -- in order to -- to finalize right now the responses under the current draft as some of your requested changes would have to be known, if we want to look at those requests, we would also have to look at some of the policy provisions that are reflected there. Current policies, some are not approved yet. Some of the provisions in the current proposal not having to do with investment level or job creation. They are much I think more minor, but still in the current policy, and these requests differ from what's in there. So I think it might be -- it might be better to wait. With us.
>> I do sense that we are making progress. Hopefully very, very soon we will be able to take final action on it. Both items.
>> judge, a question. I know that you and I have been working on this, we have been spending a lot of time in our subcommittee trying to hash this out. Some of my difficulty seems to be if we had all of the players in the same room. Some of it is well, we need a clarification, it has to go back. So we are not able to resolve some of these, perhaps. At that moment or find out things that are not resolvable. Put them on an issues sheet and go from there. But I know that I feel hampered that it's been a kind of discoakted, I mean we're trying our best, I think everybody is trying our best. We are wondering if we are at a point that putting the subcommittee and the applicant in the same room might be helpful basically to say, okay, line 42. Fine with me. The Commissioners court meeting -- Friday afternoon I think as -- is the earliest date that I have available.
>> I think that I can do Friday afternoon.
>> why don't we shoot for like 1:30 Friday afternoon.
>> is that possible, guys.
>> we may just get in -- all of the issues, at least from like a working group perspective, resolve all of the issues so at least we can have something final to present to the Commissioners court on Tuesday.
>> [indiscernible]
>> absolutely, marietta.
>> did you say 1:30.
>> okay. That will work for me.
>> if not, I will just make it happen, I know that we have got budget until noon.
>> we will make ourselves available.
>> okay.
>> I just think that we are at that point that -- that we are getting down to -- to -- those points.
>> appreciate your patience.
>> appreciate it.
>> I think that we are all interested in getting this to closure, but I do feel very strongly that the base policy needs to happen, even if it's five minutes before -- before the first one coming through the chute. It's just --
>> I understand.
>> thank you.
>> thank you all.
>> thank you very much.
>> thank you all.
