Citizens communication is next, one person has signed in, our own ollie pope. Ollie is with our veterans services office.
>> good morning, Commissioners, judge. I'm here this morning to basically make a community outreach announcement that Travis County public service office and the veterans affairs, we're going to hold a first annual seminar for veterans, their dependents and their survivors on August the 16th. This event will take place at the salvation army adult rehabilitation center on 4216 south congress. This is the first time that we have had this seminar in our location. In the past the va has gone around to other communities to put this seminar on, to make the veterans of the area aware of the health benefits and the benefits that they are entitled to. Six months ago after talking with -- attending several meetings with the va, I decided to make an attempt to have this particular seminar come to Travis County. So if everything works out, I will try to do this on a by annual basis -- biannual basis. As you know, 62,000 veterans are living in Travis County. And I have to take that into consideration. And also in consideration the surrounding areas that the va outpatient clinic service. So that's a total of over 120,000 veterans that are in this area that may benefit from this seminar. So I would like to invite anyone who would like to honor this group. It starts at 10 and will end at approximately 10:00 o'clock. One of the major programs of this event will be if any veteran has a pending claim with the va, there's two ways that they can address it. Come to the seminar and talk with the counselors one on one or contact my office and the va will obtain their file, their c file entirely and bring it to the seminar and sit down and talk to them one on one. The regional office director will also be in attendance. I have some brochures for you and a flyer and also I have a brochure for the office that we've just published. Okay?
>> thank you.
>> any questions?
>> we'll take four or five other steps I guess to try to publicize this event between now and the 16th.
>> yes, sir. Oh, yes, sir.
>> I know we have klbj and the statesman here. Make sure they get one.
>> anyone else for citizens communication whether you signed up or not.
