Number 34, consider and take appropriate action on agreements related to the conduct of the may 3, 2003 election. A joint election agreement with the Austin community college for the conduct of the may 3, 2003 election, and 34 b, amendment number 1 to the Travis County and the city of Austin election agreement.
>> good morning, judge and Commissioners.
>> good morning.
>> you have before you the signed copy or the signed original of the amendment between city of Austin and Travis County for the upcoming may elections. That's all taken care of and i've signed it too and reviewed it. Thanks to john hilly for working on that document with us. I talked with a.c.c. This morning. The board did vote, I'm going to pick up their signed copy so i'll bring that bring back the signed copyright after lunch.
>> so basically all this stuff incorporates, you know, who pays what, what the prorated shares are, and I think it was one of those kind of intergovernmental things between how a.c.c. And city of Austin were going to work out what the cost was and how they were going to split it.
>> right, as well as what the contract calls for in an agreement for polling place sharing, early voting locations, all of that. So it's all set now and we're ready to go. The simple ballot is almost ready. -- sample ballot is almost ready. I'll be able to bring you one of those quickly.
>> so the action a.c.c. Took last night was basically to [inaudible].
>> they approved the interlocal.
>> that's right. And it's on the city council agreement for this Thursday, so we'll need to take those originals and deliver them immediately after this meeting.
>> it's a three-way agreement. So we're all agreeing with each other the method by which we're going to conduct their election.
>> and when we get paid, which is [inaudible].
>> we ended up not having to do that after all, so thank you.
>> the agreement is a document that covers 34 b.
>> correct.
>> 34 a. Is the one the city will act on on Thursday.
>> correct, and i'll have that to you this afternoon. Go pick up from a.c.c. At lunch, i'll bring it to you this afternoon, then we'll take that signed copy over to city council for Thursday. Both of these signed copies back to council on Thursday.
>> so we'll I proof 34 a. Without seeing it?
>> 34 a. Should be in your backup all right. If it's not, I can run copies for you quickly.
>> was it just a one page?
>> no, it's about three or four pages.
>> we don't have it.
>> I'm sorry, then may I suggest [inaudible] until this afternoon and i'll bring it back to you.
>> move approval of 34 b.
>> second.
>> any more discussion? All in favor? That passes by unanimous vote. 34 a we'll call up this afternoon.
>> i'll bring it back to you. Thank you.
>> thanks, dana.
