Citizens Communication

Citizens communication is next, to give citizens an opportunity to address the court on any matter not on the agenda for up to 3 minutes. Two have signed in. Nooidsnooid is kenneth snyder is first.
>> my name is kenneth snyder, north ridge acres, capital city colonial. This is what we got our water from. I gave you a copy of this up there. They are going to cut her water off today because she moved out of the house anyway, cutting her water off today. You look on the other side, anybody can have a $750 water bill, you might say, is ridiculous, I think. The other page, the last page, you look in there, it's from tnrcc. They told them to work with this receiver. The state is running the water system. He's trying to make enough money off of one person to pay off the water bill to the city of Round Rock, the rest declared prov fit. He might be taking in $20,000 a month out there. Plus three families outlet there now that moved away, they said -- the water bills is higher than our electric bill and our rent the way it's going out there. We are getting raped out there, big time. We are in Sonleitner district and mike hildenstein, he's in present 2. I know Karen Sonleitner don't want her trash bill to be higher than her electric bill. How would you like to have your water higher than electric bill. I mean water, no water and wastewater or nothing, just water. You worry about the smell. People worrying about the smell at the dump. You ought to go out there after it rains, it smells like a cess pool out there. That ought to be worse than trash. Having the sewer. If the county went out there and dug the water lines up, they are sitting on top of the water lines and ditches, made out of conduit. Not pvc, conduit. Sitting right in the middle of the ditches. On the side of the ditches. One like this here sitting on the side of the ditches, dug up all of the water -- the -- the utility right-of-way, all dug up now. They made the ditches like this here. Take a drive out there. And I can't see where getting water from a fire hydrant is worse, 76, 7, $800 a month. Mine went back down again, $65 now, 56 from 85. This guy here, I think he thinks he's a king, but I think he's a dictator. I think it's another hussein. This war starting and -- and iraq and everything, we may have a war right there in north ridge acres just a few miles down the road on account of this kind of stuff. Just because there are spanish people out there, 90% hispanic, can't talk english, he figures that he can charge them anything that he wants to do. Go up there and bang on the meter, anything, whatever it takes to make them get more money out of it. He says he ain't making enough money to break even. Then he wants to borrow money, a million loan and we have to pay back an extra $100, $200 extra just to bring the water, from another high are fire hydrant up to the subdivision. Not replacing any water lines or nothing. Just exchange it from one fire hide drantd to another. So we have an Austin fire hydrant. That's all it amounts to. It's been going on for going on 10 years now. I just www.der how long we got to suffer like this. We are not animals, not dogs, we are people, we are human beings. I wouldn't wish this on an animal. My dogs, I raise puppies out there. You know what I give my dogs? Sitting up there drinking bottled water. I buy water for my animals because I would not give the water here even to my animals. I can't understand how they can make kids drink this kind of water, let the county come out there, I'm talking about Williamson county now, dig ditches up there and have the water lines sitting in the middle of the sewer, daugherty, I think that you have been out there, you have seen what I'm talking about. Water line is sitting across this way some areas, the ditch is down this way. You can drive a car down the middle of them ditches they are so deep. I'm downhill. Ditches this deep when I'm downhill, that doesn't make a bit of sense to me. Putting drainage pipe on the other side of the racetrack. Big old pipes, 45 inches, big old round pipes on the other side of the racetrack. It's all over kill. We don't have an ocean coming down there. The only street with a problem was terrace. Because they dig the ditches.
>> you are about a minute over.
>> pipe up here, water down here, think that it's going to jump up. That's the only street that has any problems. No, they want to go all the way around. I just cannot understand. Stuff like this here, like I said, you pay it or we shut it off. They already sending about 40, 50 families nowhere at all, three families moved out yesterday, this is ridiculous.
>> thank you very much, mr. Schnieder.
>> Karen Sonleitner could care less.
>> mr. Castro.
>> good morning, judge Biscoe and commissioners. I'm jimmy castro, I'm here to speak on my own behalf. I've also served as a former board member of the millwood neighborhood association in north Austin. This first slide shows I'm here to invite everyone to attend this year's star of Texas rodeo between March 22nd and April the 5th. As a non-profit charity, the star of Texas fair and rodeo ranks as central Texas largest youth education fundraiser in 45 counties. The crowning of the star of Texas queen will also take place. The 2003 gala and silent auction was a huge success in raising scholarship money. The annual parade will take place on Saturday, March 22nd. The best way of -- to start your Friday, o March 21st, will be at the cowboy breakfast from 6:00 a.m. To 9:00 a.m. At auditorium shores. If you are looking for the best Texas barbecue, the barbecue cookoff is set between March 28th through the 30th. The livestock show and youth fair auction provides central Texas youth an opportunity to show their projects and win scholarship money. The star of Texas fair and rodeo junior market and youth fair auctions are the climax of a year's work by the 4 ha and future farm -- 4 h and future farmers of america winners. They awarded 1.2 million to 2,200 kids in the surrounding 45 counties. Students are eligible to receive scholarships and participate in the livestock show and the youth fair. Area youth will have an opportunity to show their projects. The youth fair puts the fair in the star of Texas fair and rodeo. Finally, the generous support of established buyers group, area businesses and thousands of visitors, this has made the star of Texas fair and rodeo the success that it is today. Thank you, judge, and commissioners.
>> thank you,.
>> thank you, mr. Castro.
>> high tech on us.
>> thank you.
>> anybody else for citizens communication?
