Whereas farmers and ranchers of Texas are the heart of this state's agricultural industry. They are the life blood of the land and their loyalty to their work is unparalleled. It is important that everyone is aware that their reliance upon farmers and ranchers, steward ship of a substantial rebased for future generations and whereas agricultural plays a key role in the lives of everyone in this country and including the country of Texas. Now therefore be it resolved that we, the members of the Travis County commissioners court do here by proclaim the week of March 16th through 22nd, 2003, as national agricultural week in Travis County. And encourage all residents of Travis County to learn more about the role of agriculture here, share that knowledge with young people and recognize the farmers, ranchers and their families who contribute so much to the Travis County and the nation and the world. And every time I see something like this I recall my youthful days in tyler, Texas. Move approval.
