Item 4
Number 4, discuss a temporary road closure at the intersection of doyle road and eilers road in precinct 4 for the duration of the doyle-eilers road and drainage improvements project lasting approximately March 2003 to September 2003.
>> move the public hearing be opened.
>> all in favor say aye? That passes by unanimous vote.
>> good morning, carol joseph again, t.n.r. Doyle eilers have been one of our construction drainage projects for some time and we had to redesign it over the years because they are short-funded and we've got to the point we can fix the drainage at doyle-eilers so we're asking that the road be closed during that time through construction. So far we've heard no complaints, no issues with this item.
>> would anyone like to give testimony during this public hearing?
>> move the public hearing be closed.
>> second.
>> all in favor?
>> I'm sorry, there's a person I didn't see.
>> if you would please come forward and give us your name, we'll be happy to get your comments.
>> my name is kenneth Leander. I just wanted to compliment the county for coming out and helping us in our tiny corner of the county. We have a tremendous amount of water that flows through that particular intersection. A six-inch rain, it would be whitewater, the roads going across that. Cars going across that corner won't be able to pass. So this is a long awaited and much appreciated. And I just want to thank the county for taking the time.
>> thank you very much.
>> thank you.
>> thank you.
>> anybody else to give testimony during this public hearing?
>> now move the public hearing be closed.
>> second? All in favor? That passes by unanimous vote. That was number 4.
