33 approve personnel amendments. I move approval.
>> second.
>> there's some discussion ones on there, judge.
>> I have a couple of non-routine items. The first one is a non-routine demotion for the district clerk's office. An employee that is being demoted back to a position arranged from 19 to a 13, under the current mobility policy, it's a demotion policy that's 5% per pay grade, which would result in a 30% decrease for the employee. The department wishes to -- to only reduce the employee's pay by approximately 12% to the maximum of the pay grade that the employee is being demoted to. And -- but the department wants to run the person back to the old job from which he or she was promoted at the same salary.
>> actually, there was -- what they are wanting to do, I think facilities maintenance is here to discuss it as well.
>> I was left under the impression that the salary would be the same as it was before.
>> there would be some pbp adjustments.
>> same pbp that they would have been entitled to under the same salary.
>> that's the intent to put the employee at the pay that they would be at now if they had stayed within that position within 5% across the board and -- [multiple voices]
>> a promotion would work out, in fact it did not --
>> right, but we wanted to retain the employee. This is how --
>> move approval of this non-routine item.
>> second.
>> any more discussion? I withdraw my other motion which covers all of them. All in favor of the narrowed motion by commissioner Sonleitner? That passes by unanimous vote.
>> thank you.
>> the second is a non-routine classification review. Consequence stanley 4 requested a conversion of a deputy constable senior slot to a constable sergeant lot. Hr and d concurs with that. Funding is available. This is the only constable that does not have a constable sergeant slot.
>> right. Move approval.
>> the only question here is are these permanent savings?
>> he will answer that.
>> yes, it is, commissioner.
>> thank you.
>> any more discussion? All in favor? That passes by unanimous vote. Move approval of all of the other personnel amendments.
>> second.
>> all in favor? That passes by unanimous vote.
>> thank you.
>> can we make sure that we use the words permanent savings because that can really alleviate a lot of questions.
>> all right.
>> those are the key words.
>> permanent savings.
