Item 10

View captioned video.

Item 10, discussion and take appropriate action regarding the implementation of a release of liability and indemnity agreement for participation of equine activities and establishing fees for the use of the northeast metropolitan park equestrian corral. I always see a question in activities as -- I did get the document myself over lunch. Any issues with that?
>> judge, the only thing i'll bring up because theresa melton was here this morning who is somebody we've been acting with a liaison with the equestrian community taken kids primarily in 4-h, she wants to make sure as we go through this and establishing fees in terms of doing this that there was the full ability by the kids that they could do in-kind activities in terms of maintenance or service projects out at the park to be able to off set any kind of charges if that were a better way to handle it since there's so many kids that may have economic issues. And I explained to her it really wasn't about trying to capture money, it was really about making sure that we weren't losing money on this operation and if we could accomplish the same goals with an in-service project, we thought that was terrific. And it would be -- she was very acceptable to that.
>> is that consistent with county park policies?
>> we have done that in the past, yes, with youth organizations.
>> with the youth.
>> we do with the kids.
>> okay.
>> I will --
>> do you want me to quickly run over this or do you want --
>> if there are issues, I think we ought to go ahead.
>> I would move approval of item 10 with the full endorsement of yes that we would encourage in-kind youth projects with financial issues.
>> any more discussion? All in favor say aye? That passes by unanimous vote. Thank you all very much.
