Consent Items

Let's go back and pick up consent. Posted for consent are c 1 through c 8, and we have been told that we do not need c 8, so c 1 through c 7. C 8 is not needed. We have been asked to add the following items to the consent motion. If there is anyone who wants us to discuss these separately, please say so as we call out the number. 3 a, b and c. 5. Did we follow the recommendation that if there are non-capital improvements that are necessary, the department will pick them up in its general fund budget? >> yes, sir. >> that was a p.b.o. Recommendation. I'm suggesting that we pick it up. So the capital items will be purchased with the surplus money left over from the other construction projects. To the extent that there are non-capital improvements necessary, the department's general fund will be used to cover those. >> okay. >> with that understanding, 5 is part of the consent motion. Number 6, 6 a and b. Those are fairly routine. 7. 8. 9. 10. 11. 12. 13. These are purchasing items. 14. 15. 16. We only received one bid. Anybody here to protest? Basically rejecting the one bid that we received. 16 will be part of the consent motion. 17. 18. On number 20, I did get an e-mail. I think I need to talk to mr. Heidrich, so we'll have that item on the agenda next week unless there is rejection. That is a request for financial contribution from Travis County. The request is a little bit more general than hoped for in some of the items of Travis County routinely has disallowed the use of county funds for. But I think I can chat with them and narrow the request and have that back for us next week. Is that okay? >> uh-huh. >> 21. >> i've got a quick question on 21. >> 21 will not be part of the consent motion. My office tried to put together a list of the committees that -- boards that commissioner daugherty would be on, but we'll call that item up for discussion. 23. >> move approval of consent. >> any more discussion? Anyone like for us to pull any of these items for separate discussion? All in favor say aye? That passes by unanimous vote.
