Citizens Communication

View captioned video.

Citizens communication is first, one citizen signed in, kenneth snyder, to give residents and non-residents an opportunity to add the court for any matter not on the agenda for up to three minutes.
>> my name is kenneth snyder, capital city colonial, 3 miles from here. This deal in the chronicle came out, still out this week. It came out -- this guy wrote a letter also saying we don't deserve anything, we want everything on a silver platter. If there's a grant, they ought to make it work. I gave you all a copy of up there. This is another copy of gave you of the city of Round Rock. I already talked to attorneys on that part of violating my rights. They took the cameras off of me. The mayor of Round Rock came up there and told me, when I was sitting in the audience, you come up here and say anything, we are cutting the cameras off. Violating my rights pretty big. Of course judge Biscoe -- I mean judge dorfler done the same thing to me in Williamson county, but he told me not to speak at all. But I turned it into the civil liberty union, they said they cannot do that. Attorney general's office, everything else. By it's like I got pictures up there. He see the ditches, that's sewer, Williamson county and Travis County, both counties. That is sewer. You see that pipe running down the middle there, that's a water line. Most of the meters behind the houses is sewer. Water meter is sitting in sewer. That's the reason that I have been trying to hard to get basic services out there. That's a disaster. They do have grants out there at -- to fix this problem. For nine years, I think it's ridiculous. But the city of Round Rock don't care about the people and everything, which I do give you all a lot of credit. They never cut me off up here or anything, they -- I do give a lot of credit to Biscoe for that. Sonleitner says I'm a stalker, that came up a couple of weeks ago, which I guess I feel like one, but I'm not a stalker, I don't know where she lives, I could care less where she lives. All that I'm up here doing is trying to get basic human services. If anybody tells you they can do a better job than I could, I sure wish they would do it, because I'm sure getting tired of it. It's like -- she said I need to get somebody else going and everything. I wish she would get up here and talk for us. I don't care who does it. If we get a case of typhoid out there, then they are going to say how come nobody tried to help you all out there and everything. From the city of rock, it will be in the wrong kel, in the american -- chronicle, american-statesman, the city is going to carry the story. This were you will up there when the mayor done this here to me. I just can't -- there's a gray cloud over north ridge. There got to be a reason for it. You all got grant for kennedy ridge, got everything in for them. Why can't you do the same thing for us, get this thing over with, work with Williamson county. I hear you all on tv, I tape it every day, everything, you all take -- say you all work with the counties, everything. I can't see no traces of it. We pay taxes just like anybody else. I guarantee you the low income area probably pays more taxes than the rich areas anyway, Karen Sonleitner said last week that told daugherty, we go through this every week. She's right, i've been doing it for nine years, in another month, another year is going to be gone. Nine years trying to get basic human services, with he pay taxes just like anybody else. These kids shouldn't have to be getting water from a fire hydrant and have craw dads this big all green. Dead animals in the ditches, die of gina, my vet told me they died of gina drinking that sewer water. Me I keep my dogs inside, don't leave them in the yard, sewer off the hill. You take a drive out there see what I say. Weeds in the ditches this high. Water lines in Travis County sitting on top of the ground and Williamson county, too. On top of the ground, ditches dug them out, water just sitting there, just like you see in the pictures, both counties. This much land in both counties. Thank you very much.
>> thank you, mr. Schnieder.
>> thank you, in snyder, anybody else for citizens communication, let me announce we are toward the tail end of our defined charities campaign -- combined charities campaign next week. Over the next 10 days I will be making some personal phone calls, my requests will be for those who were able to contribute last year, to try to do at least the same amount this year. The need is great in our community, I would think greater than this time last year. If you can assist let us know. I am chair of the combined charities effort and that is so he owe that means we will probably moving a little bit more slowly this year. We will try to pick up the pace over the next 10 to 14 days. If you could assist we really would appreciate it.
>> one little more thing, one thing, I do thank the people who have been coming out there bringing water. I do not understand why. A lot of people bringing out water out to the subdivision, I do appreciate that part of it.
>> mr. Snyder last January I asked you if you would back up three or four or five months if we tried to help. I will ask that same question this coming January. There's a whole lot more history than you tell people down here. You all had a grant out of there $350,000.
>> that was a step program. That was a joke to start with the only one --
>> okay. [multiple voices]
>> still working on some of the problems. 18, 19, 20 houses.
>> all right. We want a grant --
>> I will ask the same question in January and if you say yes, and you will do that, I will try to help you again.
>> with a grant, not a step program. A grant. I don't want oranges, I want apples.
