Number 5 is to discuss the Texas transportation commission minute order creating a regional mobility authority and take appropriate action. Does that mean an order authorizing creation or does it create one?
>> it authorizes travis and Williamson counties to create an authority.
>> I thought I heard you say that before. That's a distinction we need not be concerned with today, elaine. Last time we talked about two letters being drafted and you have drafted them.
>> yes, sir.
>> and I have a couple of little things that would really fall into the commissioner Sonleitner wordsmithing category than anything else.
>> such abuse.
>> and like I would put joe's official title after that last one. This letter goes out over the commissioners court stationary, right?
>> right.
>> I would put joe's phone number there too. This is joe geiselman, executive manager of transportation and natural resources. And his phone number. Two other little things, it's correct -- it's stated twice on page 2 of the letter to michael -- did you pick that up?
>> yes, sir, I saw that.
>> can I just get with staff?
>> they are wordsmithing things, that's fine with me.
>> some of these fall in the Biscoe why use five words when one will do category also which I learned from commissioner Sonleitner. [inaudible] which I can share.
>> I say go for it, judge.
>> put it on Travis County stationary, try to get those signed today, get them out. These letters say pretty much the same thing.
>> and then I think it also emphasizes sh 45 southeast will be the next project. So I think [inaudible] I think that's the way it ought to go.
>> to get back -- instead of get back with us, I would say "please let us know as soon as possible."
>> judge, I would move approval of the two letters with the Biscoeisms attached on commissioners court stationary to go out.
>> second.
>> any more discussion?
>> when do we anticipate response from these particular letters because, again, I wish it was in the sh 45 southeast was embed understand the order, however, it's not. So when are we looking for an answer from these two letters that do address sh 45 southeast tying into sh 130 to get traffic off ih-35 to say they are actually lean income the direction of what these letters are requesting and that is tying sh 45 southeast to sh 130 to relieve traffic off ih-35. How long do we -- are we looking at before some kind of response?
>> I'm not sure that we can answer that question.
>> I think we're all working on it, from what I hear. Community interest and public interest are all working on this to try to make sure that this is indeed what happens next. And I'm staying in close touch with everyone because that's my interest.
>> right. I am too, commissioner.
>> that that be in there because this is the front door.
>> and they are continuing to have public meetings about the environmental work being done on the i.e.s. Versus -- for the southeast 45.
>> well, I will personally make a contact call especially to the txdot folks to alert as soon as possible when they will really -- that would probably be the best way to do it, when they really can come up with a definite okay for sh 45 southeast connector and sh 130, and I can probably go ahead and do that. Thanks.
>> any more instruction on the two letters? All in favor? That passes by unanimous vote.
>> thank you.
