Executive Session

View captioned video.

That brings us to executive session. We did postpone 18 and 19. But that leaves 17 and 20. 17, receive briefing from county attorney and/or take appropriate action regarding possible settlement offer from sandra smith, et al., Versus Travis County, et al.
>> 17 could be postponed.
>> good.
>> we will not take up 17, although we just announced that we would. 20 was to consider request from Travis County judges regarding workplace safety issues at 1622 east riverside drive, Austin, Texas. And take appropriate action. That will be the consultation with attorney exception to the open meetings act. That is the only item we will discuss in executive session. We'll return to open court before we take any action.
>> we have just returned from executive session where we discussed number 20. Need a motion.
>> I move that this court authorize staff to arrange for the testing of the entire building in question. That we authorize the purchase of filters and to expedite this we authorize the waiving of the county purchasing policy. That we also authorize staff to begin a search for a replacement lease space, and that we offer up the county attorney to prepare a demand letter for the judge to sign and we recess this until next week.
>> second.
>> any more discussion? All in favor? That passes by unanimous vote. There being no further business --
>> move we adjourn.
>> all in favor? That passes by unanimous vote.
