Item 17
17. Consider request and approve funds for one Travis County employee to participate in leadership Austin program, in accordance with chapter 16 of the Travis County code, and take appropriate action.
>> judge, my question, it's really just a question here because honestly, I mean, hello, of course we are going to pay for this person. But what was raised in this person's letter is they didn't know that we had leadership Austin -- that they would be eligible for leadership Austin moneys. What I would like to ask for h.r. To do, because we kind of go through all of this every year, is is it possible for us to formalize a process with leadership Austin so that when our Travis County employees make the grade and find out that they have an acceptance, there can be a direct billing of Travis County and then we work internally to pull all of the fund together because there may be a couple departments contributing in addition to what the county does. To make it easier to these employees because again we have an employee here that put money out and is trying to get a reimbursement. This is just to make sure that we formalize than rather than them having to ask, that leadership Austin works with the county directly on a billing process so that there's just -- there's just not this after the fact catching up on the money and too often it's the employee that's fronting the money until it works through our process, which -- which can take a couple of weeks. So that's my only request and --
>> sure, we can do that.
>> I move approval of this person and congratulations to -- to I believe it's raul gonzalez.
>> second.
>> on making the grade.
>> any more discussion? All in favor? That passes by unanimous vote.
