>> good morning.
>> > good morning, judge, commissioners. I'm sylvia lopez, I'm the h.u.b. Coordinator for Travis County. There are so many great organizations, non-profit organizations here in the county that provide so many important services. And today we have one with us, in 1996, excuse me, aisd began to involve local and minority women owned construction firms and that was in their $346 million bond program that passed in 1996. And hence cmpi was born. It seeks to create a community with shared values, facilitating relationships between successful construction companies, mentors and small or minority and women-owned businesses proteges. In 2001 the county did provide financial support through the housing and finance corporation, I am also a non-voting member as a secretary of cmpi, I want to turn it over to steve swan son the chairperson of cmpi.
>> good morning. It's -- it's exciting to be back again and to continue to talk about celebration. What I would like to share is our thanks to you for supporting this program. And encouraging us and to invite you to participate with us tomorrow night to -- to share the enthusiasm that we have that's endured now as you have heard for five or six years, I think that's a testimony unto itself. And we look forward to celebrating teens who have spent time together, small business, large business, coming together to help serve each other and that will be tomorrow night, 6:00, the red lion. I-35 and 290 and hope you can participate. We have other -- other board members here with us today, john betcher with adc, and [inaudible], a supporting member ever since our foundation, we are grateful for the recognition and for your support. And we want to say thank you.
>> thank you for the good work.
>> so the court is invited tomorrow evening, too.
>> you bet. [ laughter ]
>> we will kind of walk through the proclamation. We do have one, a beautiful owe is this brown or beige? Something that I'm sure you all will want to keep this in your valuables for the years to come.
>> at Travis County, we do have a booth, we will have a booth there tomorrow.
>> all in favor? Do we have a motion? I move approval first. Any more discussion? All in favor? That carries unanimously. Thank you very much. Keep up the good work.
>> thank you. Now you know elected officials like to come a little late and leave early. Is that okay -- [ laughter ]
