>> my name is [inaudible], northridge acres, your disaster area. I've been going to the capitol every week for the last couple of weeks, been going over there. You see I gave you all one. If you all throw them in the trashy saw awhile ago. It's on the back, the sewer stuff. I done real good. A lot of people came out and looked. But the people in the consulate came out and said it's worse than in mexico. It's been going on nine years trying to get help out there. Sounded like to me you get a [inaudible] in the commissioners. Karen Sonleitner. Hope people remember that when election come around. We had a good rally up there Saturday and a lot of people up there and everything. I passed out a bunch of stuff and everything. Mike hampton went up there, if he gets in here, I think he's going to make a big difference. I think he will make a big difference in the county. He's one person that won't take no for an answer. Because we need somebody up there with some [inaudible] and tell them we don't need a colonial. That's what we got, capital city colonial. We don't need that eight, nine miles from the capitol. There's programs out there to fix the problem. I've been pushing that 821 bill for about three years and nobody wants to use it. That's about the only thing we got out there. We're getting raped by the water system out there. The state is running the water system out there. Pay $48 for water, people ain't got no water. These kids suffering, look like swamps out there. The water out there right in the middle of all that water I see all our meters sitting in that. And these kids should not be drinking off the fire plugs and we shouldn't have to be paying 200, 300 dollars for water. Just like Karen Sonleitner is raping the neighborhood. Then you all want to raise the taxes to Travis County side. And get the [inaudible]. So there's plenty of money they can take and fix every problem. When they can find money for spiders, Williamson county finds money for spiders, I think the kids ought to come first over any other kind of problem. Even over roads, I think the kids ought to come first. I've been going to the capitol. I talked to a lot of people that's going to [inaudible]. How come you all ain't helping with the problem. A couple of other people out there, shouldn't have to make the whole neighborhood suffer on something like this here. There is programs, but not border clone yals. I'm trying to build out there, and there's no reason why [inaudible] got to be more important than we are. I know our land is worth more than kennedy ridge. Their land ain't worth as much as ours. Our land is more expensive. Everybody at the capitol said I think they are trying to run you off so they can put more apartments and hotels in there. How in the world think think they are going to fill the apartments they got? They can't fill the ones they got. They are empty. People can't pay no two, three thousand dollars rent. Raise taxes, raise taxes. Every week you go over there, they are working on --
>> please conclude, mr. Schneider.
>> I don't understand what the problem is. Get the -- it's a terrorist act. [one moment, please, for change in captioners]
>> go back to citizens communication, is phyllis dick here.
>> yes, sir.
>> and brenda king? Okay.
>> thank you, sir. Good morning.
>> good morning.
>> my name is phyllis a. Dick, I am here this morning to -- to speak out against people that has went to college and have became professionals and gotten their degrees and have taken different oaths of office, not to lie or whatever, you know, and pledges, such as lawyers, whys and, you know, police officers and -- and people of this nature. Well, i'm finding out more and more that these people can use their profession to hide behind the -- the lies appeared things that they write on you to -- to ruin your life. I think that this is very disrespectful. I think that something should be done with these people have been counting these lies, they have written lies on you. And you can expose them, -- expose them, I don't think that they should be in office. I think that because they have broken their pledge or their oath that they have taken. Every person that -- that get a college degree has become professionals. And then when you become a professional, that gives you the right to go out and seek jobs of different statuses. That carries oaths and pledges and when those oaths and pledges are broken, I don't feel that these people should still be in office because they have written lies on you and everyone knows that the bible says there's -- you are not supposed to lie. Your parents teach you not to lie. Your -- your instructors in college and in school, like my colonel [inaudible] turk instructed not only me but all of us not to lie in class. My mother worked for one of the most prominent families around here in Austin, which was the bush family. And my mr. George herbert bush, the very first bush president, as a not nosed kid growing up in that -- as a snot nosed kid growing up in that house hold. He told me not to lie always tell the truth because phillip the truth will win out. You go to school and get your education you go beyond that and get your extended education. I think as a six and a half, seven-year-old child growing up in the bush household, he was practicing on me to become the president at the time. [ laughter ] in those days, which was in the '40's and '50's, this was before he was married to miss barbara the first lady and had children of his own. In my eyesight I was his kid, okay, because he's the very first white man, as you will say, gave me and put the dictionary in my hand and learned me how to spell dictionary, okay? [buzzer sounding] now, I have a lot of great values that I grew up with in life and not to tell lies, is one of his main things. And -- there was one of my mom's main things, it was my pastor's main thing, it's in the 10 commandments posted up here on the capitol grounds. It is one of the commandments you are not supposed to tell lies on other people to ruin other people's lives. And when other people's lives are affected by a lie and a written lie, that you have told, whoever it was that wrote the lie and told it, shouldn't be in office. They should be account I don't believe and held responsible for these -- they should be accountable and held responsible on these lies.
>> please conclude.
>> yes, sir. Your --
>> yes, sir. Okay. This is just the way I feel about it. People, the bottom line is people are not supposed to lie on other people and take written lies and put them on other people to -- for other people to read and destroy that person's life. Thank you for your time.
>> thank you.
>> ms. King?
>> yes. I remember the last time I was down here, you told me that if I didn't have an attorney to assist me to come back. Well, I was -- I was believing that I would actually have an attorney, but it appears that every time I bring this issue up to them, they -- they run away or hide or something. I'm not sure if they are -- because one attorney told me that he was best friends with this lieutenant and everything like that. He -- doesn't seem like something he can be able to assist me with. I came in last time and told you that my very was impounded. I did advise this lieutenant said there was 13 off colored crack rocks found in my vehicle. But prior to that the impound rep advised this attorney, because he told me the impound rep said he didn't have to tell me anything, even though I asked him under what constitution can my vehicle be held. He said he didn't have to tell me anything, he told me to get an attorney. The attorney response to me was that, you know, they need to find out the last person who was driving the vehicle that was supposed to go out and searching and do the forensics, everything, that hasn't even been done yet. The lieutenant sound he found 13 blue crack rocks in my vehicle, gave me a case number. Now, star-rite towing said that the same lieutenant who said that there was these drugs in my car released the car on September the 11th. $567.95. Okay. The star-rite company also send to my lien holder this letter saying they are going to auction off my vehicle under status property code to attempt to satisfy their charges under article 6701-george-3 of the Texas truck act. I paid car note every month on this vehicle. I pay full coverage insurance on this vehicle. The only thing that I authorize these officers to do was go out there so that they could search and do their forensics to find out what was going on and the last person who was in it or whatever their job entitled so -- entailed so they can give me back to vehicle, get back to work, get my daughter back to daycare and follow the daily activities that me and my daughter always do. Now, because they didn't give me back my vehicle, this star-rite towing company moved all the way to Pflugerville with my vehicle without my authorization, and i'm the owner, they know i'm the owner because it says right here to my lien holder. I have lost any job. Five occurrences, i'm fired. The job didn't approve the 30 day leave because they have never approved leave for transportation issues. So therefore i'm out of work. Now, if in fact this vehicle had crack in it when I talked to one attorney he said the vehicle was supposed to have been seized. How are they going to seize the vehicle when they are saying they released the vehicle? Okay. [buzzer sounding] September 11th, vehicle released. Until August 30th -- the said the vehicle was released because the -- because the president of the naacp received the response they said the vehicle was released August 30th. Okay, look. I have lost my job. What are me and my daughter going to do now? I am a single parents working, you know, now I don't have a job. What are we supposed to do? Welfare now? I mean, this is ridiculous. If they was finished with my vehicle and doing their also activities, whatever, I didn't -- I didn't interfere with the police duties, I said check itronix, do what you need to do, give it back. I didn't say tow it to Pflugerville, I didn't say that you could keep it. This lieutenant does not pay my car note. I do. Now what's going to happen? Seized? How is this seized? Can he release it under his authority if this is seized for drugs? He's not a judge. What's going on here?
>> you are about a minutes over your time.
>> I don't have nothing.
>> you are about a minute over.
>> that's all that I have to say.
>> anybody else for citizens communication? If so, please come forward. Anybody else for citizens communication? Please come forward. Them we are down to the consent items.
>> it's not too late if you are coming up.
>> not to late.
>> no, ma'am. [inaudible - no mic]
>> I would like to come here, thank you for allowing me, even though I was here before the time allowed, I -- I thank you all for allowing me to speak. I'm speaking on behalf of the visitors that go out to the del valle and visit their loved ones.
>> your name is? Your name, please.
>> i'm florence [inaudible]
>> okay.
>> uh-huh. I also host a show flowing with flo, access tv. I'm also associated with the trailer park show. Okay. The -- my reason for being here is that del valle -- institute on the weekends, where the inmates loved ones come to visit and during that time of visiting you have allowed visitation rights of 40 visitors per inmate. Now, there is only one -- what you call it in a person that checks in, the inmake it, and do her job. This is -- this lady she is doing a wonderful job. We mean no disrespect for her. Everyone wanted the public to know that this lady is doing a good job. She can only do as good as what she's given. It's a system break down, if the system break down, the computer break down, she have to go and go into the file cabinet, which means it's longer information given for the visits. There are guards, a guard on the weekend in del valle that is disrespecting these inmates loved ones who they come to visit. And this guard is -- has been so disrespectful that these inmates want him to be checked. But these inmates' visitors, the loved ones, are asking y'all as good as the job -- as this beautiful lady is doing, why is she the only person doing the job on the weekend? On the weekend, that's when there are more visitors coming. Why is she the only one. If the computings down for whatever reason, not her fault, you know, she have to go and get into the file cabinets and that means it's longer. If there are 40 visitors per visit on the weekend, per visit, she may only be able to allow 20 in. The guard is rude be obnoxious and disrespectful. He treat the -- the inmates loved ones as if they are the inmates. The inmates loved ones have came to me and asked me to ask y'all to please train the guard better to deal with them. Tes loved ones as if they are the inmates. The inmates loved ones have came to me and asked me to ask y'all to y'all to please trn the guard better to de please tn the guard better to please train the guar these inmates want him to be the inmates. The inmates loved ones have came to me and asked me inmates loved ones have came to me and asked me to ask y'all to please train the guard better to deal with them. This is the request that I came to speak to you before because -- because I don't think that -- too much of what anybody is going to do, going to do anything for me. It's not about -- about who is politically correct, political, democratic, republican, libertarian, [buzzer sounding] who is representing you interests. Stop playing race cards in the issues. Stop playing, being played. We as a people have a responsibility to stand up for what is right and another thing I would like for you all to do, sir, is put a live camera in the courtroom where the judges are -- and the -- in the school -- where the judges are making the decision that affects our children's life as there are people that come down here and speak to you all, they have racist agenda because they represent only one race. That means they are racist. If I come down and represent the black panthers, you all will say hey she's a racist. If this man came down and represent the -- the alien nation, the -- the aryan nation, the white race, you would say he was a racist. This man represents one race. I represent any, every, black, white, brown, fat, skinny, disabled. We represent these people. We need you all to put a live camera in the courtroom and look at what this judge is really doing to our children? Because our children don't have a voice. And i'm begging that you all at least consider this idea. I thank you all for the few minutes of your time. Please consider this because this judge is doing things that is not right to our children, there are women, men, our children are not being given a fair shake. There are young people that would take that judge to the hoop. Thank you for your time.
>> thank you.
>> anybody else for citizens communications, whether you signed up or not?
>> judge, this might be --
>> if so, please come forward now.
>> if we could just say a very quick welcome back to joe gieselman. We have not seen him for a number of months, we are very glad that he's back, we want to lets you know that your staff did a fabulous job while you were gone, made sure all of your items were taken care of during the budget. We called him jean luc piccard, truly the captain of the t.n.r. Starship, welcome back.
>> yea.
