Report Types

Several types of forms are filed in the county clerk's office:

CTA Campaign treasurer appointment Prior to receiving or expending campaign funds
ACTA Amended campaign treasurer appointment When a change in CTA information occurs
C/OH Non-Judicial candidate / officeholder report of contributions and expenditures January 15 and July 15 of each year; 30 days and 8 days prior to each election for which the candidate is on the ballot
JC/OH Judicial candidate / officeholder report of contributions and expenditures January 15 and July 15 of each year; 30 days and 8 days prior to each election for which the candidate is on the ballot
JDI Judicial declaration of intent to comply with the Judicial Campaign Fairness Act By a judicial candidate, prior to receiving or expending campaign funds
PFS Personal financial disclosure statement County court-at-law judges, probate judges, the county judge, county commissioners and the county attorney: April 30 of each year for officeholders; 40 days after the regular filing deadline for candidates and officeholders who are on the ballot. District judges: File with the Texas Ethics Commission Other county officials and executive managers: By Travis County Ethics Policy - February 28 of each year; 30 days after becoming a "candidate in fact."

JSPAC Judicial specific purpose action committee report of contributions and expenditures January 15 and July 15 of each year; 30 days and 8 days prior to each election for which the candidate or measure supported/opposed is on the ballot
Other Miscellaneous filings Relevant to circumstances of person/committee filing

NOTE: Campaign finance filings are considered timely filed if the postmark date is the date of the deadline. Statewide candidates and officeholders file at the Texas Ethics Commission, 201 E 14th St, Sam Houston Building, Austin, Texas.
