Travis County Commissioners Court
June 26, 2012 - Citizens Communication
Agenda
Citizens Communication.
This gives residents an opportunity to address the court for any matter not on the agenda.
That's, again, not item not on the agenda.
Philip a.
Dick is speaker number 1.
Number 2 is gus pena.
Number 3 is jim dillon.
>> Good morning, the honorable judge Sam Biscoe and the rest.
I am here this morning to speak about my disability, money being changed.
And some worker from the s.s.i.
Disability area, she takes -- all I can say is I get generated letters up under my name and then this worker goes in and cut my-changed my code in order to get my disability money.
And I have been searching and trying to find where my disability money has been going ever since the legal aid society helped me to, you know, get my benefits started in 1998.
Now, all the files from '98 she claims that have been destroyed or I can't get into them.
She had has a file on me from -- created from 2005.
That's the eligibility date that now she's claiming I started getting my, you know, benefits and things, but that's just not true.
So I went over to legal aid to try to get that information and they told me that the information that I am seeking is not in their files and I wanted to know why because they are the ones who -- the lawyers represented me and helped me get started with my disability payments and everything.
So I was told that some of the files were filed from the paper to the computers and then some of them wasn't.
I said, well, I don't understand why my files wasn't.
But anyway, there was a social security worker while I was there sent my file to -- to the -- oh, to the legal aid department where I was standing.
And they were generated letters and they gave me all this big file.
I said, well, how can social security have my files on you all and you all don't have a file.
And I said social security, when I went over there to talk to them about it, they tell me their files don't go back that file.
They have a secondary file on me from 2005 to claim that my benefits started in 2005, and that's just not true.
My benefits got started in 1998.
And I got a lump sum money and I got started my checks.
>> [buzzer sounding] I have not seen my money because she writes letters saying we are writing you to tell you about the changes we have made in your records and files and changes in your disability s.s.i.
Payments.
And I'm asking myself, who asked to you automatically change anything in my file?
I haven't submitted any changes.
>> Thank you, gus pena.
>> Good morning.
Gus pena, proud united states marine and proud graduate of johnson high school.
I have referred miss dick to senator john cornyn.
He is helping us veterans dealing with homeless veterans with families that are and problems that are not being -- the needs are not being met with the veterans administration.
We talked to the chief of staff.
We've been in constant dialogue so we're going to improve the situation for not only us older veterans but veterans of iraq and afghanistan and gulf war.
I'm going to say this economic development is germane but it's not dealing with item number 2.
Job creation, we have a lot of graduates just graduating.
No jobs.
We need to create, we need to be more creative.
Job creation is very important.
Commissioner Eckhardt, thank you very much for -- you have been my angel.
You and I talk about the problems in the community, not only in my precinct, 4, economic development, jobs for youth.
Judge and Commissioners, I respectfully request that more positions be made available, more money, more funding being pumped into or allocated for summer job programs where you keep them involved in organized, positive activities and keep them out of organized crime.
Incentive programs for the youth so we can train them not only at economic development but also train them so they can grow into or get promoted into higher paying jobs with benefits.
Number 4, please support our military veterans.
You all are not military veterans.
We suffer.
We train hard and when I trained during the marine corps in the first marine division, we trained and they -- we patrolled vc village.
You were treated as a prisoner and received treatment that was not humane but that was supposedly to prepare you for vietnam.
Our veterans coming back with ptsd, anger management, substance abuse.
Everything under the weather, especially our female veterans have more distinct health care issues than our male veterans.
Please support our veterans.
Thank them.
Shake their hands.
They are there to help us out and they've helped our countries' freedom, safety and democracy.
Judge and Commissioners, I want to say it again, my son lucio graduated from high school June 1st and he was in the hospital nine different times with various ailmentser for mijo to have graduated, he did a good job.
We need to help our students enter the job force.
Judge, Commissioners, thank you for all yukon.
Continue the March.
Economic development, economic development.
Thank you all very much.
God bless you all.
>> Thank you, mr. Pena.
Jim dillon will be followed by morris priest and ronnie reeferseed.
>> Judge, I wish that whenthe citizens and taxpayers make the effort and take the time to come before their elected officials and address them on important matters that every elected official could put down their important paperwork shuffling, phone calls, electronic mind control device game playing and actually listen and make eye contact occasionally with the citizen who chooses to appear before them and address them on an important issue.
Wouldn't that be good, judge?
I agree.
Now, regarding this crazy scheme to send our sheriff and fire marshal and that will expand to other elected officials who are going to get free tickets to the race and all the other perks and the gratuitous and bribes and honorarium and so on to the racism event in england, my question is why didn't they go to bahrain where the people are in open revolt for their freedom and the race was interrupted by people who sacrifice their lives in the hundreds at this event.
And now the doctors and the hospitals who treated the people who were brutally beaten and tortured and cut in half virtually in the streets, the doctors who treated them at the entire staff of these hospitals is now in prison for life undergoing torture, hard labor, et cetera.
Because they stood up for freedom at the f 1 race, the formula one grant pre event in bahrain.
Now, I know there will be a police state presence in london and in Austin to prevent those kinds of things, but we do not need to use taxpayers' money to give per diem to those overpaid public servants who have a fiduciary responsibility to save taxpayers money, not spend it for a free vacation to england.
What if there's fires like there was last year and you got your fire marshal in england?
He could be manning a garden hose of some sort.
Instead he's over there wining and dining subjecting himself to undue influence by the very people he has a responsibility to monitor.
You know --
>> [buzzer sounding] -- this -- this event is going to be nothing more than basically the equivalent of a u.t.
Football game.
And other than the gratuitys and the perks elected officials can get out of them, which susan combs has already been engaged in that, she's accepted who knows how much money under the table, just an attributable on every count.
>> Thank you very much, mr. Dillon.
Morris priest.
>> Morris priest speaking on my own behalf.
I did want to say when people get active, we've seen this in the Williamson county race, some of you all probe remember the andy griffith show when goober could sound like clark gable, some actor, and he said judy, judy, judy.
>> Cary grant.
>> Sarah, if you would be quiet, I would appreciate it.
>> Constantly interrupting is really bad.
But anyway, the whole thing when we have these after election parties where you standing around going judy, judy, judy, and little kids running around with nana on their third, na-na-na.
You are really doing it wrong.
And some of the things people are doing are making sure they are keep god in their plans and practices and places and showing respect to others.
You know, we don't live by bread alone but we live by the word from our lord and we trust the author and obey our creator and we don't call our actions when we are wrong mistakes, we call them wrong.
We also point out things such as ronnie reeferseed not being able to bring his sign in here.
That was pretty ridiculous along with marine mccoy not allowing people to get backup information at the campo meeting.
Many of us look at people's voting records and speaking of sarah, I think she has flip-flopped on every transportation vote she's cast so these things are important to point out to the public.
We see that some of the things that we see in the community such as this upcoming campo listening session, I would encourage dillon and ronnie and everybody in the community, bill aleshire, everybody that we can get to come to this listening session.
The last campo transit working group.
Lee leffingwell started the meeting off by saying he had gone up to the district of columbia and that they basically just told him that y'all are really messed up.
And, of course, txdot just recently told campo the same thing.
They said yeah, we're so messed up, maybe you actually should consider giving your money to some other n.p.o.
And they will pay you back other than this ridiculous scheme with the ctrma.
People learning to be more creative in their efforts through regulations and rule of law and they are having great successes and many times you don't hear some of those great successes and sometimes people are going about it the wrong way.
But I do think that it is important --
>> [buzzer sounding] -- to confront our elected officials and I think we need to come out with a strong vote of no confidence for maureen month company at executive director of campo.
>> Thank you, mr. Priest.
Mr. Reeferseed.
>> Thank you, sir.
Yes, sir, I am ronnie reeferseed and I want to thank the kind words of a good friend who just ran out the door, morris priest.
But I appreciate an appreciation to our creator and appreciation for willie nelson, that rare worldwide powerhouse of cultural ideas and music.
Deeply loved worldwide.
God bless and praise of our founding fathers for forever freeing our nation from the inbred globallally sociopathic thugs the monarchy.
Our publicly propaganda baloney pbs keeps running and rerunning delusional happy talk about these inbred organized crime thugs.
We've already fought many battle and several wars to get away from great britain.
So let's all celebrate July 4th this year with more love and vigor in honor of our first -- first victories over tyranny, over our glorious revolutionary war, a war of 1812, et cetera.
We're all now wrapped up in our own revolutionary war whether we want to or not, and yes there is a diabolical process underway to kill each and every one of us all.
Nobody gets a pass, people.
I know it's hard to grasp at first, at least for me, because it's so evil.
That is why a lot of truth about many, many issues is certainly available.
Not by accident.
It's just overwhelm us.
But we have to be brave and learn whatever we can and do whatever wreck to enjoy the love and joy of sharing challenging info with everyone.
Look, some people just don't want to know anything, refuse to think, those who are programmed to surrender.
However, many more of us every day are choosing to celebrate love for life through knowledge.
Yes, it is the truth that will set you free.
Yes, freedom and liberty are hot topics today worldwide and let's all sing praises for our tireless champion of our precious u.s.
Constitutional dr. Ron paul.
In '08 dr. Ron paul refused to sell his soul to republican party devil and instead threw his support on the eventual November ballot to chuck baldwin, the one and only constitution party nominee who agreed then and now with virtually all of dr. Ron paul's positions.
That fact got absolutely zero lame scheme so-called media coverage.
Like anything or everything dr. Ron paul.
But the time is now to impeach, convict and removed so-called president so-called peace prize to stop the killing.
Nobody in the history of liberty should have the arrogant audacity to even consider executing whimsical contracts of death to anybody and everywhere.
>> [buzzer sounding] this tyranny must be stopped.
Demand impeachment where we can.
To learn more, click on info wars.com and click on radio shows and broadcast link and you will learn something.
Thanks so much.
Campo, we must --
>> Thank you very much.
Those are the persons who signed in to speak under citizens communication.
