Travis County Commissioners Court
September 9, 2008
Item 27
>> joe, 27 is consider and take appropriate action on a request for a variance to chapter 82.401 c 4, a portion of bee hive lane and a portion of bumblebee drive, two subdivisions in precinct 3. Any issues here?
>> only that normally we require the entire subdivision, all the roads in the subdivision to be accepted at the same time. What this will do is create a -- basically a spine road to the subdivision that is ready for acceptance and will add about a half a mile roadway to the county network. Both ends of that roadway connect up with already existing public county maintained roadways so it meets that standard. What we'll have is a viable segment of public road that anyone can get on from one to the other and it also serves as access to the other portions of the subdivision that are not yet accepted. So I think it's a fairly benign variance.

>> the language was so long I was reluctant to put it on consent. I do move approval though.
>> second.
>> discussion? All in favor? That passes by unanimous vote. Thank you.
>> by the way, on that previous motion 29, that was to approve a and b, correct?
>> correct.
